Assembly bonding with high initial grab
Sikaflex-545 cures through atmospheric moisture and is designed for assembly work where initial hold and adhesion across different materials matter. Sika lists timber, glass, metals, certain coatings, ceramics and plastics among potential substrates, subject to compatibility checks.
Check the actual materials
Share the materials, coatings, component size, application conditions and quantity. Experienced users should test adhesion and compatibility on the actual substrates. Materials susceptible to stress cracking require manufacturer advice. Surface preparation must follow the applicable Sika guidance; initial grab does not replace a suitable bond design.
