Tectyl® Cavity Wax Amber is a wax-based, solvent-cutback, amber corrosion preventive in an aerosol. It has good water-displacing and penetration properties. It is very suitable for the inside of car doors and other hollow sections of cars and rolling equipment, and cures to an amber, waxy, semi-firm, translucent film.

Surface Preparation
For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product.
Application
Shake the can well before use. Spray from approximately 30 cm at an ambient and product temperature of 10-25°C. Confirm suitable cavity-access equipment and the required film thickness for the job.
Removal
While wet, remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner, Tectyl® 150 or low-pressure steam. For dried and cured film, use Tectyl® Biocleaner as listed in the TDS; confirm any alternative remover with the manufacturer.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the can to freeze.
Shake well before use.
When stored correctly, the product is best used within 36 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
The manufacturer does not recommend applying other coatings over or under Tectyl® Cavity Wax Amber, because this may cause chemical incompatibility and reduce performance. If you need a primer, please consult our technical team first. Where the TDS requires written authorization from CorPro for a primer, obtain that authorization before use; distributor advice does not replace it.

Follow their requirements for ventilation, personal protective equipment, ignition control, storage, first aid and disposal. Do not discharge residues into drains, soil or water.
