Tectyl® 190 Black is a black, solvent-cutback, rubber/resin-based corrosion preventive. It is fast drying, has sound-deadening properties and can be painted over. It protects ferrous metals and the underbodies of cars, trucks and trailers against corrosion and abrasive damage, curing to a black, firm, resilient, tough film.

Surface Preparation
For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product.
Application
Supplied ready to use.
Apply at 10-35°C by airless spray, vacuum spray gun or pressure-can spray gun.
Removal
While still wet: Remove with Tectyl® 150 or low-pressure steam.
After drying and curing: Not intended for removal; cured film cannot be removed.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the product to freeze.
Agitate gently before use; viscosity can change during storage.
When stored correctly, the product is best used within 24 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
Overcoatable once fully dry. With 2-component paints, first spray a thin primer layer and let it dry before applying the paint. Test on a small area first.
