Tectyl® 472 is a solvent-cutback, water-displacing, oil-based corrosion preventive and penetrant. It protects industrial parts during long-term indoor or covered storage and domestic shipment, curing to an ultra-light, transparent oil film.

Surface Preparation
For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product.
Application
Supplied ready to use. Do not thin.
Apply by low-pressure air spray or dipping at 10-35°C.
If the product thickens, contact our technical team.
Removal
While still wet: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner, Tectyl® 150 or low-pressure steam.
After drying and curing: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner or Tectyl® 150.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the product to freeze.
Agitate gently before use; viscosity can change during storage.
When stored correctly, the product is best used within 36 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
Nothing can be applied over Tectyl® 472, and the use of a primer is not recommended. Where the TDS requires written authorization from CorPro for a primer, obtain that authorization before use; distributor advice does not replace it.

Follow their requirements for ventilation, personal protective equipment, ignition control, storage, first aid and disposal. Do not discharge residues into drains, soil or water.
