Surface Preparation
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of rust and oil, at 10-35°C. Depending on the steel, aluminium or alloy substrate, test or consult us on direct-to-metal application versus a primer.
Application
Supplied ready to use; ensure uniform consistency.
Apply by airless spray using a slow-moving stainless-steel piston pump on a pneumatic ram with follower plate, ratio 45:1 to 63:1, at least 150 ml per double stroke.
Spray gun: minimum inlet pressure 245 bar, reversible nozzle with at least 0.025" orifice and 40° angle.
Removal
While still wet: Clean equipment and film with water and diluted Tectyl® Biocleaner.
After drying and curing: Cannot be removed.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the product to freeze.
Best used within 12 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
The manufacturer does not recommend applying other coatings over or under Tectyl® 5660W FR, because this may cause chemical incompatibility and reduce performance. If you need a primer, please consult our technical team first.
