Tectyl® Stone Chipping Black is a black, solvent-cutback, rubber/resin-based corrosion preventive in a 500 ml aerosol. It is fast drying, has sound-deadening properties and can be painted over. It is specially developed to protect the underbody of cars, trucks, trailers and other vehicles against corrosion and abrasive damage, curing to a black, firm, resilient, tough, abrasion-resistant film.

Surface Preparation
For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product.
Application
Mask adjacent panels.
Shake the can well before use.
For best results, spray when the can and the air are between 10°C and 25°C.
Spray from a distance of about 30 cm onto clean, dry metal.
The product dries fast. To avoid pin-holing, apply one layer per pass, wait 2-3 minutes, then apply the next layer until the required film thickness is reached.
Removal
While still wet: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner, Tectyl® 150 or low-pressure steam.
After drying and curing: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner or Tectyl® 150.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the can to freeze.
Shake well before use.
When stored correctly, the product is best used within 36 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
Tectyl® Stone Chipping Black is overcoatable once fully dry. Applying products underneath is not recommended.
