Typical properties may vary between production batches. Laboratory test results apply to the stated method and film thickness. Listed protection periods are manufacturer reference values, not a site-specific service-life guarantee. Actual protection depends on preparation, film thickness, exposure, handling and inspection. Theoretical coverage excludes application losses.
Surface Preparation
For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product. Non-galvanised steel and raw aluminium must be protected with an anti-corrosion primer before application.
Application
Use as supplied; ensure uniform consistency and do not thin. Avoid contamination in pumps and lines. The manufacturer’s application guide specifies airless spraying; use its current equipment instructions and confirm suitability for the job. Apply at the TDS temperature range of 10-35°C.
Removal
While still wet: Remove with water, Tectyl® Biocleaner or low-pressure steam.
After drying and curing: Not intended for removal; cured film cannot be removed.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store between 10°C and 35°C.
Do not allow the product to freeze.
Best used within 12 months of the production date.
Coating Compatibility
The manufacturer does not recommend applying other coatings over or under Tectyl® 5660W, because this may cause chemical incompatibility and reduce performance. If you need a primer, please consult our technical team first. Where the TDS requires written authorization from CorPro for a primer, obtain that authorization before use; distributor advice does not replace it.
Health, Safety & Handling
Read the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and product label for the exact supplied grade and market before use. Follow their requirements for ventilation, personal protective equipment, ignition control, storage, first aid and disposal. Do not discharge residues into drains, soil or water. Request the matching SDS from White House General Trading.
