Typical properties may vary between production batches. Laboratory test results apply to the stated method and film thickness. Listed protection periods are manufacturer reference values, not a site-specific service-life guarantee. Actual protection depends on preparation, film thickness, exposure, handling and inspection. Theoretical coverage excludes application losses.

Surface Preparation

For best results, the metal surface should be clean, dry and free from rust, oil and mill scale. The substrate temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C when you apply the product. Avoid direct contact with PVC because of possible material incompatibility.

Application

Shake the can well before use.

For best results, spray when the can and the air are between 10°C and 25°C.

Spray from a distance of about 30 cm onto clean, dry metal.

The product dries fast. To avoid pin-holing, apply one layer per pass, wait 2-3 minutes, then apply the next layer until the required film thickness is reached.

Keep the coating off exhausts, brakes and moving parts.

Removal

While still wet: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner, Tectyl® 150 or low-pressure steam.

After drying and curing: Remove with Tectyl® Biocleaner or Tectyl® 150.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store between 10°C and 35°C.

Do not allow the can to freeze.

Shake well before use.

When stored correctly, the product is best used within 36 months of the production date.

Coating Compatibility

The manufacturer does not recommend applying other coatings over or under Tectyl® Underbody Coating Bronze, because this may cause chemical incompatibility and reduce performance. If you need a primer, please consult our technical team first. Where the TDS requires written authorization from CorPro for a primer, obtain that authorization before use; distributor advice does not replace it.

Health, Safety & Handling

Read the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and product label for the exact supplied grade and market before use. Follow their requirements for ventilation, personal protective equipment, ignition control, storage, first aid and disposal. Do not discharge residues into drains, soil or water. Request the matching SDS from White House General Trading.

This is a pressurised aerosol containing a flammable propellant. Keep it away from heat and ignition sources and use adequate ventilation, following the current can label and SDS.
